Carolyn Cerda, FOX13Memphis.com

Carolyn Cerda joined the FOX13 team in November 2021. She's a seasoned journalist with more than a decade of experience, both on-air and behind the scenes. She started her TV news career as a producer in multiple cities, including her hometown of Dallas, Texas. Carolyn comes to the Mid-South from the Florida Panhandle, where she was the weekend evening anchor in Pensacola. Prior to the Emerald Coast, Carolyn was the evening anchor for the ABC affiliate stations in southern Illinois, and Harrisonburg, Virginia. She's also reported in Lafayette and Shreveport, Louisiana. In her time along the Gulf Coast she's covered multiple hurricanes, including 2020s devastating Hurricane Sally. But she's not a complete stranger to the Bluff City. In 2018, She took the trip down from Illinois to cover the 50th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Memphis. Carolyn enjoys being involved with her community. She volunteers with multiple organizations, including her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She’s also passionate about mentoring young and aspiring journalists, and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. A Dallas native, she's an avid Cowboys fan, but don't hold that against her. She's got a soft spot for (new) home teams, too. She's excited to explore Memphis and share stories that matter in the Mid-South. You'll catch her weekdays on Good Morning Memphis, but if you see her out exploring, say hello! You can also reach her on social media or email her at carolyn.cerda@fox13memphis.com.
