MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot and killed at a Broadway Pizza Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 1:56 p.m., Memphis Police responded to a shooting on Broad Avenue, at Broadway Pizza.

One man was found shot, and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
At 1:56 PM, officers responded to a shooting at 2581 Broadway. One male was located and pronounced deceased on scene. The victim was known to the suspect. This is an ongoing investigation. pic.twitter.com/v3VFNKcqtZ

Police said that the suspect and victim knew each other.
“I’m still shocked about everything happening,” said Melissa Reed, the manager.
Reed said the shooting happened in self-defense.
“He just got upset about something and all of a sudden, he started to get into It with the owner,” Reed adds.
FOX13 was outside the restaurant when employees arrived just learning what occurred.
“Yeah. It’s a safe place usually, sure. I haven’t had any problems at all, but I’m a recent worker there I can’t really tell you much,” said one employee.
Investigators said the shooter was detained, but later released.
The alleged shooter has not been charged.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
