MID-SOUTH — On Nov. 11 each year, we honor our veterans who have served in all branches of the military for their sacrifices.
FOX13 has compiled a list of events for you.
Tennessee
- U.S. Army Memphis Recruiting Company will march to honor Veterans at 7 a.m. at the Bartlett Recreation Center located at 7700 Flaherty Place.
- AutoZoners and local heroes will help build homes in North Memphis. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. at 869 Majestic Ave.
- According to a release, Mid-South active-duty, reserve and retired members of the military, first responders and AutoZone employees will spend the morning building four homes alongside Habitat homebuyers in the New Chicago neighborhood.
- The city of Bartlett will hold a Veterans Day event starting at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park located adjacent to W.J. Freeman Park at the corner of Bartlett Boulevard and Bartlett Road to honor those who served.
- Covington is holding a Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. at Historic Covington Square.
- Memphis is holding a Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. at the corner of Second and Market Street.
- Germantown Performing Arts Center is holding a concert at 4 p.m. to honor Veterans. The center is located at 1801 Exeter Rd.
Mississippi
- Hernando is holding a Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. starting at the corner of Mt. Pleasant Rd. and E. Commerce St. For a full parade route, visit their website.
- Southaven is holding a Veterans Day Appreciation Luncheon at 11 a.m. at the Southaven Community Safe Room located at 7351 Highway 51.
