LEVEL 3/5 THREAT FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS AFTER 6 PM.

Wednesday Mid-South Severe Weather Risk All of the Mid-South has been upgraded to a level 3/5 risk zone for severe weather as severe storms and damaging winds blow through after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. (WHBQ)

  • Make sure to charge the electronics and be weather-aware tonight.
  • It’s a cloudy, breezy, and mild start to the day.
  • Temperatures this afternoon will rise to the mid-70s.
  • Rain chance: 10%, rising tonight.
  • Winds: 10/15 mph.

LOOKING AHEAD:

  • Storms will continue into Thursday with damaging wind gusts the primary threat.
  • Power outages a concern—especially east of the Mississippi River.
  • Secondary threats include heavy rain (1″+), hail, and isolated tornadoes.

  • We are in the 40s on Friday with dry conditions for the weekend.
