Fans excited to support Ole Miss Baseball in College World Series

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss Baseball enters historic territory as the Rebels make the College World Series semi-finals for only the third time in the program’s history.

A lot of Ole Miss fans stopped in Rebel Rags to snatch up anything with the Rebels and College World Series on it.

“I think I am going to Omaha,” said Terry Gibson. “I think I am going to go and see the championship.”

After Ole Miss’s blowout over Arkansas, Rebel fans have been hitting places like Rebel Rags in Oxford to get more gear for the College World Series.

Some say they’re heading for Omaha, others are staying in Oxford to watch the game.

“Oh, I think it’s been incredible,” David Martin said. “It’s been exciting to watch Elliot pitch and the guys hit and they look like they are having a lot of fun.”

Twelve-year-old Zayden Casey, an Ole Miss fan from Senatobia shared his thoughts on the Rebels winning streak.

“I think that they have done incredible since they were the last team to go to the regionals,” he said. “I think they, I think they will have an incredible run.”

Eric Menefee said that the team is tough and that he commends them for sticking it out this year.

“They had like that downfall throughout the season and they picked it up and now they are the hottest team in the country right now,” Menefee said.

Casey said he knows exactly where the Rebels will end up.

“Championship. I know they are going to win it all,” Casey said.
